The story behind the community

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Two different backgrounds came together around one shared belief: the maker community is stronger when people support one another.

How 3DA began

We could not find the community we wanted—so we built it

3D Addicts was founded by Shenani3D and Moore3D with a simple idea: build the kind of 3D printing community we could not find anywhere else.

Instead of accepting spaces where competition, poor leadership and people working against one another overshadowed creativity, we turned that experience into something positive and created a community centered on collaboration.

Two backgrounds • One vision

The foundation behind 3D Addicts

Community • Events • Partnerships

Shenani3D

Brings experience in community building, live selling, content creation, event organization and brand partnerships. She has grown 3DA beyond Discord through monthly raid trains, Print Wars, We Print At Dawn, charity initiatives and in-person representation.

Mechanics • Robotics • Support

Moore3D

Brings hands-on technical knowledge, mechanics and robotics experience, filament expertise and the problem-solving mindset that helps turn ideas into reality behind the scenes.

What we believe

Collaboration should matter more than competition

Makers, sellers, designers, filament companies, brands and hobbyists deserve a place where questions are welcomed, knowledge is shared, accomplishments are celebrated and people genuinely want to see one another succeed.

What began as the community we wished existed became something much bigger. And we are just getting started.

Built together. Growing together.

The people behind 3DA continue turning community connections into friendships, partnerships and opportunities.
